Integrated Behavioral Health Coaching

Clarity, systems, and practice that turn goals into daily life

Coaching is a structured, future focused partnership. We clarify what you want, translate it into small repeatable behaviors, and build environments that make the right choice easier. Coaching complements therapy and psychiatry. Therapy focuses on healing. Coaching focuses on growth and change.

What coaching is

Coaching is a partnership that helps you turn intention into action. You set the direction. I bring strategy, tools, and accountability so change holds when life gets busy. We design behaviors, cues, and routines that support the person you are becoming.

  • Turn big goals into tiny steps that compound
  • Interrupt unhelpful loops and install better ones
  • Use visible progress so wins become repeatable

What coaching is not

Coaching is not therapy and it is not psychiatry. Therapy focuses on healing, diagnosis, and the past. Coaching focuses on growth, skill building, and the future. Many people use both. Clinical care addresses health and safety. Coaching converts insight and guidance into daily practice.

Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. If a clinical review is indicated I help you connect with the right professional.

Why coaching works for behavior and cognitive change

Change holds when thoughts, emotions, and environments align with your goals. We build systems that make the desired action the easy action. Setbacks become data we learn from.

  • Goal to action maps with clear practice plans
  • Habit design and motivational interviewing
  • Simple tracking and regular review

Integrated behavioral health coaching

We consider the whole person. Mind, body, relationships, work, and community. We connect lifestyle medicine with behavioral science so improvements are durable in real life.

  • Stress regulation, sleep, and steady energy
  • Movement and nourishment that fit your day
  • Emotional regulation, boundaries, follow through

Case vignette

Building a workout routine that actually stuck

J is a high achieving professional who felt caught in a loop. Depression crept in after a hard year. Stress rose. Evenings turned into comfort eating. Weight gain followed, then shame, then more stress. J wanted a workout habit for mental health, not only a number on a scale.

Here is what we did once J became a client. We cut the plan to a minimum dose that still mattered. Ten minutes of movement on weekdays, done before dinner. Two choices only, a brisk walk outside or a short strength circuit at home. Shoes by the door. Reminder that read Move for your mood. Clothes set out. Playlist ready. Dinner start time shifted by fifteen minutes.

We tracked completion only. We noticed how J felt after each session. Calmer. Clearer. More in control. After two weeks cravings faded. After six weeks sleep improved and J chose to add one longer weekend session. The scale moved slowly. The real win was steadier mood and a sense of agency. The habit held because it was simple, measurable, and tied to a feeling that mattered.

What made the difference
  • Minimum dose plan that fit a busy day
  • Strong cue and friction removal
  • Tracking that rewarded completion
  • Focus on mood benefits first
  • Gradual scale up by choice
