Methodology and source notes

Absence defaults use BLS lost worktime rates by industry. Safety defaults use BLS total recordable case rates by industry. When company turnover data is not entered, the calculator uses an annualized JOLTS quits proxy by broad industry grouping.

Replacement cost percentage is a modeling assumption. Average incident cost defaults to an NSC cost anchor for a medically consulted work injury. For multi service bundles, the calculator combines service impact assumptions with a diminishing returns formula rather than simply stacking percentages.
