Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session focuses on understanding where you are now and where you want to be. We will explore your goals, identify current challenges, and begin mapping out a path forward. You will leave with clarity about our focus and usually one or two simple actions to try before we meet again.
How long does coaching typically last?
This varies by person and goals. Some clients work with me for 6-8 sessions to address specific challenges. Others continue for several months as they navigate major life changes. We will regularly review your progress and adjust our plan as needed.
How is coaching different from therapy?
While therapy often focuses on healing past wounds and treating mental health conditions, coaching is forward-focused on goals and growth. We work with your existing strengths to create the future you want. That said, my nursing and behavioral health background means I bring a trauma-aware, clinically-informed perspective to our work.
Do you take insurance?
Coaching services are not covered by insurance as they are not medical treatment. However, many clients use FSA or HSA funds for coaching. I can provide receipts for your records. Packages are available to make coaching more accessible.
